New in 2010: The Republic Township Fishing Derby.

Perhaps the easiest are located adjacent to Pine Crest Resort, CedarHurst Lodge, Private Island, and Lost Lake Lodge. In addition, each proprietors can offer on site and township wide directions to boat lauch facilities on adjacent lakes and along the Michigamme River.

Just 3 miles South of where the Michigamme River crosses M-95, near the Dickenson County Line, is Silver Lake and the Silver Lake Resort, 906-542-7195. Former Republic residents Pat & Pete Chevertte, purchased the resort in the early 2008 next to Silver Lake. Pete shows his recent catch of walleye.
