Fishing Derby
The Annual Fishing Derby.
Presented by the Republic Sportsman Club and the Tasson Distributing Co. The Sportsman Club is a 501-c-3 none profit corporation. The excess funds are used to improve the fishing experience in the Republic area by planting fish, repairing docks, and refurbishing spawning beds.
Generally, the 3rd weekend in July.
Saturday, 6:00 AM to 10:00PM.
Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Beginning at the Kloman Bridge on the Michigamme River in North Republic.

The Sunday afternoon crowd numbered in the hundreds. All celebrated the robust catch and congratulated the winners.
