Republic Township Planning Commission Meeting ---- April 16, 2007

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Leslie Hurst at 7:00 p.m.

Members Present: Glenn Adams, Jay Mattila, Marcy Rankinen, Peggy Lahtela, Diane Tapio, and Leslie Hurst
Members Absent: Vickie Radcliffe, and Bill Payne, Zoning Administrator

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved by Marcy Rankinen with support from Diane Tapio. Motion carried.

The agenda was approved by Peggy Lahtela with support from Marcy Rankinen. Motion carried.

Reports:
Zoning Administrator-- No report due to Bill Payne's absence
Parks and Recreation-- No action
EDC-- No report
Heritage Trail--CCI approved a grant to be distributed over a period of time
Zoning Ordinance Committee--On hold
Ordinance Subcommittee --On hold
Community Meetings/Plan--Meeting was held last week and one tentatively scheduled for June 6, 2007
Campground Subcommittee--Marcy will contact Aileen Todd (Sportsman's Club) for input in trying to establish a plan that will set up some kind of a donation system for camping in Munson Park area
Web site Update--None

Old Business:
Town Square Design---Leslie will notify designer about a few minor details found to be incorrect on the design (left out the flowering crab trees planted by kids, and the directional elevations are labeled incorrectly.)

New Business:
None
