Regular Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m. by Chairperson Leslile Hurst.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Diane Tapio-support from Jay Mattila. Motion carried

Parks and Recreation:
Golf balls are presently at Maki's Mini Mart and ready for use on the driving range
With extra summer help the netting will be put up on the sledding hill before fall. They are concentrating on the cemetery for now.

Heritage Trail
CCI Board approved $5,000.00 grant to Republic for development of wetlands. Money had not yet been received as of 10 days ago.
Beginning to GPS the trail system and will be having a sit down with CCI once we have the basic trail in place
Hoping to have an opening ceremony for the wetlands in conjunction with the fall festival in mid-September
Historical Society will be working with CCi for a permanent display in the town square facility, hopefully we will get additional $$ from CCI
We will be contacting the DNR for assistance on wetlands issues and might have them do an inventory of wildlife in the wetlands.

Fred gave an update on the website--explained why pictures aren't being used as of yet

Emailed our comments to Kevin T. DNR hasn't requested anything, DOT a few things
New Business
Witch Lake Zoning District
Discussion with audience about the size of the waterfront lots. Diane Tapio made a motion to refer Witch Lake concerns to the zoning subcommittee. Support from Jay Mattila. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Vickie Radcliffe with support from Diane Tapio. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m. Next meeting will be on June 18, 2007.
