Recreational Comm. Special Meeting
There will be a Special Meeting on Thursday, June 5th, at 6:30 PM to receive public input from the town regarding the Township’s Recreation Plan. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide feedback.

In Republic you’ll find great opportunites for watching wildlife, observing fall colors, snowmobiling, fishing for trout, walleye, and bass. We also have hunting for white tail deer or black bear, ORVing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, hiking, cycling, white water kayaking as well as quiet kayaking, canoeing, camping at Moose Rapids campground, and the new township Northern Lights Campground, nestled between the Michigamme River and School Lake on the south edge of the village of North Republic.
